Question 1

Is StoreKaro a Google Photos alternative?

Accepted Answer

Yes — it does the same everyday job (back up and browse your photos and videos), but they stay on your own laptop or PC at home instead of a company’s servers, and there’s no monthly storage bill.

Question 2

Where are my photos actually stored?

Accepted Answer

On a drive or folder you choose, on your own Windows PC at home. StoreKaro never keeps a copy on our servers — the cloud only helps your phone and your box find each other.

Question 3

What do I need to get started?

Accepted Answer

A Windows laptop or PC to be your box, and an Android phone. Install StoreKaro on the laptop, sign in on your phone (Google or email), and pair the two with the 8-character code the laptop shows.

Question 4

Do I have to pay every month?

Accepted Answer

No. StoreKaro is one yearly plan: ₹399 a year (₹359 with a friend’s referral code). There’s no storage bill, because your photos live on your own drive.

Question 5

Does it back up automatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Turn on automatic backup once and new photos and videos from every folder go to your box in the background — over Wi-Fi, or over mobile data if you allow it.

Question 6

Can I see my photos when I’m away from home?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you’re out, your phone reaches your box through a secure private link, so your library is with you anywhere — in full quality. Viewing is always free; uploads over mobile data include 1 GB a month, and extra data is ₹49 per GB.

Question 7

Can my whole family use one box?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each person gets their own private profile, signs in on their own phone, and sees only their own photos and videos.

Question 8

Is it private and secure?

Accepted Answer

Your files never leave your home, and they’re encrypted the moment they travel off your home network. Delete the app and every file still stays on your drive.

Question 9

What happens if I stop paying?

Accepted Answer

Your files are always yours — they stay on your own drive, and you can open them on your PC anytime. The StoreKaro app and access from your phone need an active plan.

Stop paying rent for your own yaadein.
